Introducing Louis Vuitton’s $2,000 Trash-Bag Purse

Louis Vuitton makes handbags for spring that resemble trash bags with leather handles. The Raindrop Besace purses retail for $1,960 each. Refinery 29 reminds those interested in owning the bags of these words, spoken by DJ Pauly D: “And in walks this girl with like garbage bags. I thought that was kinda like ghetto, and like … weird.” We knew Jersey Shore style would catch on!!

It’s not a garbage bag, it’s a purse. And it’s not just any garbage bag purse, it’s a Louis Vuitton garbage bag purse. I think it’s great. I mean, I took my garbage out this morning, and I thought, you know, if I was doing this with a Louis Vuitton garbage bag purse, I would be so much more fly. Sometimes you really do get what you want out of life! Apparently, I’m going to need a spare $2,000 to score one of these. Also: Real or fake? I got no idea, kids. I wonder if they come with that deodorized strip, too.

Louis Vuitton Trash Bags – not Handbags – Spotted in Nyc

Straight from the Obscene Luxury Department comes the story of Louis Vuitton trash bags. Known the world over for their handbags and purses, Louis Vuitton garbage bags have been spotted all around New York and Los Angeles. Surely this has to be one of the more paradoxical uses of the LV brand – a luxury bag used to hold waste.

The bags are brown and feature the distinctive Murakami Monogram trademark design, commissioned by Louis Vuitton for the famous Japanese pop artist Takashi Murakami. This Louis Vuitton design, consisting of a series of repeated symbols, has become an instantly recognizable mark of both fake and genuine handbags. Louis Vuitton is one of the world’s most famous luxury companies, and Louis Vuitton handbags are coveted consumer items for many. Indeed, the booming demand for fake Louis Vuitton accessories – from purses to sunglasses – demonstrates this.

It is not known whether the Louis Vuitton bags are fake or genuine. Since no official statement or press release has been offered by the company, we can only assume that they are unofficial. As of press time, no sample could be obtained, so the thickness and durability of the bag is yet to be determined. Judging by photos, however, they seem of a very high quality.  So, fake or not, these Louis Vuitton handbags – I mean trash bags – will certainly fill all of your garbage needs in ridiculous style.
