To look like her when I am 38

As much as I’d love to dive into Gwyneth Paltrow‘s late ’90s red carpet looks and array of head-turning haircuts, I can’t miss the opportunity to give a shout out to the fierce and fabulous fashions of her 38th year. All five of these attention-grabbing dresses have graced the pages of Slaves to Fashion in the past year, which should help explain why Glamour voted her in as one of the Most Glam Celebrities of 2011. Come see…

In November of last year Gwyneth wowed us in this sparkly Atelier Versace number. The up-to-there slit was way on trend and, as Tracey pointed out, still elegant in every way.

She might not have won our Best Dressed poll but there was no question that Gwyneth looked ravishing in this gold column gown by Calvin Klein at the 2011 Oscars.

his month Gwyneth really pulled out all the stops and it all started with this short, orange dress by Lanvin which she paired with burgundy heels, a snakeskin clutch and clean, fresh makeup. We thought this look was a total home run

Later in the month, Gwyneth attended the Venice Film Festival wearing a blush pink Prada gown that stirred up all kinds of outfit idea excitement in me. Not many people can make a giant bow look so wearable.

And just when you thought the fabulousness that was Gwyneth’s 38th year was coming to a close, she popped up at the Emmy Awards in this cropped, about-to-hit-the-runway Pucci dress. Another stellar example of her remarkable talent for flashing skin while still looking polished
