Kim Kardashian Halloween Costume: Reality Star Makes A ‘Splash’ As Mermaid

Kim Kardashian Halloween

Kimye made a splash… or something.

Kim Kardashian transformed into a mermaid for Saturday night’s Halloween festivities, and said that if the “superstorm” hits the East Coast, her captain, Kanye West, will sail her to safety.

Kardashian hosted the Midori Green Halloween party in New York City on Saturday dressed as a mermaid inspired by 1984’s “Splash,” an ethereal character played by Daryl Hannah. The reality star wore a dress complete with a shell bralet and a sparkling green fishtail skirt. Although her outfit showed off her figure (surprise, surprise), the most jaw-dropping part of Kardashian’s Halloween costume was her platinum blond hair.

It took Kardashian two months to plan her mermaid Halloween costume and two hours to get ready, according to the Washington Post.

Mermaid Kardashian also told the newspaper that when Hurricane Sandy hits the East Coast, Kanye — dressed as a “captain” in a striped shirt and red boat shoes — could “sail” her to safety.

On her Celebuzz blog, Kardashian posted a photo of her and Kanye with the caption, “Me and my Captain! “I’m off to the Midori Halloween Party in NYC! So excited! What do you think of my costume? I’ve always been fascinated with mermaids!”

The 32-year-old took a breaking from filming “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami” to hit up the NYC Halloween bash with West and her best friend, Lala Vasquez.

This is the second year Kardashian has hosted the Midori event. Last year, she went asPoison Ivy complete with flaming red hair.
